Person-Centered Support
The individual is at the centre of all we do, and we work with them in partnership to identify aspirations for the future. Our person-centered approach allows for an adaptive service to meet the specific needs of each client.
Thanks to our web of partnerships across the Wirral and Merseyside, we can connect our residents to specific support based on their personal circumstances.
Residents meet regularly with their Key Worker in one-to-one sessions to review their progress, identify emerging needs and work through practical barriers. This may include supporting access to healthcare and mental health services, connecting residents with specialist organisations such as Wirral Ways, addressing substance use where relevant, developing daily living skills, supporting benefits and finances, and exploring education, volunteering and employment opportunities.
Move-On Process
A key part of this support is planning for life beyond the hostel. Our Move-On Officer, Andy, works with residents to identify suitable move-on options, prepare for greater independence and address the practical and personal challenges that can make a successful transition difficult. Andy helps clients apply for social housing, moves them into their next home, and sources any missing furniture and appliances the client needs to live independently.

Put Simply
We recognise that homelessness rarely has a single cause, and that recovery does not follow a straight line. Our Key Workers therefore provide consistent support, encouragement and advocacy throughout a resident’s stay, adapting the plan as circumstances change. The aim is not simply to provide shelter here, but to help each person build the stability, confidence and skills they need to move forward and sustain a more independent life.
