If you are homeless, sleeping rough or worried about losing your home, support is available. YMCA Wirral works alongside Wirral Council and other local services to help people access appropriate advice, accommodation and practical support.
Housing Options
If you are homeless or likely to become homeless within the next 56 days, contact Wirral Council’s Housing Options team as soon as possible.
Aged 18 or over:
Complete the Housing Options enquiry form
Aged 17 or under:
Call 0151 606 2008, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
Emergency out-of-hours support:
Call 0151 677 6557, including weekends and bank holidays.

Rough Sleeper Initiative
YMCA Wirral’s Rough Sleeper Initiative provides outreach support to people sleeping rough across the borough. The team helps people access accommodation, housing advice and other essential services.
If you are concerned about someone sleeping rough, please contact the team. You only need to provide their location, and you may report it anonymously.

Emergency Triage Bedspaces
Our Emergency Triage Bedspaces provide safe, short-term accommodation for people in crisis who have nowhere safe to stay.
The service includes five furnished, en-suite bedrooms and a communal kitchen. A dedicated in-reach worker works alongside Wirral Council’s Housing Options team and our Rough Sleeper Initiative to help people access appropriate support and longer-term accommodation.
