This is a successful partnership with One Vision Housing Group that the YMCA Wirral manages a 9 bed semi-independent supported housing scheme for people with various disabilities and social problems. This scheme has proven itself an excellent progression towards individuals achieving a fully independent lifestyle, free from barriers that prevent them from achieving their life goals and ambitions.
The scheme enables former residents who have stayed at YMCA Wirral but have physical and sometimes mental needs which prevent them from living independently without support. The project provides such residents with their own single bedroom fully furnished accommodation coupled with the services of an on-site worker which allows individuals to manage their own lifestyles secure in the knowledge that they can access immediate support, should they need it and in so doing safeguard their long term independent sustainability.
